Login using the email address you used to download the application. In case you are on a free trial, you will have full access to the application for 10 minutes.
Check your email for a unique 6 digit code and paste it here. This assures that you are the owner of the registered email account.
Use the menu on top to select Settings window. This is the most important place for setting the application. First of all, copy paste you OpenAI Key. The application uses your own key which means that the conversation stays secret and known only to you.
Select Transcription Model. You can either select one of the shown (small one is good enough) or select the Whisper API (which will cost some very small amount of money - 1$ per hour). The model will be downloaded locally. All the models are local whisper files.
Next option is the OpenAI model. Here we suggest using GPT4 but of course you can experiment with the least expensive GPT3.5
Then selecting Microphone: It will show you all the available microphones. As a start we suggest using the microphone built in to your computer. Lastly selecting speakers. Again for simplicity leave the default option as it is. Otherwise you can use Multiple Output Devices so that you can distinguish the Interviewer (uses Headphone Output) from the Candidate (uses Mic). For more please check here
Click on + New to start a new conversation. You can pause the conversation by clicking on Pause Button.
We send the conversation to GPT4 model and get the response. The response is shown in the right hand side as "AI". We send the request every 60 seconds but you can change the frequency up to 5 minutes
When you finish all the conversation you can Evaluate and get a score of the conversation by clicking the Evaluate button. We ask from GPT4 to give a score to the conversation.

In the short video we can see that for the same transcript the AI responds in Javascript and then in C#. You can refine Interview Assistant AI by adding a specific Job Application with details on the language of transcription. Please use OpenAI Whisper model for transcription of one of the International Whisper models (not the English one)
By default Intervie Assistant AI waits for the language to be mentioned during the interview. If this is not the case then it responds with Python syntax. If you want to use some more specific programming language please write it explicetely to the Application. (e.g. like respnd in c++)

Average Words per Minute (WPM) Spoken: Let's assume an average speaking rate of 150 WPM for a conversational interview.
Interview Duration: 60 minutes.
Token Conversion: Approximately 1.33 words per token (since 1 token ≈ 0.75 words).
Tokens for 60 Minutes: 9,000 words÷1.33 words/token≈6,767 tokens
Cost for 60 Minutes: 6,767 tokens × $0.01 / 1K tokens≈$0.06
Cost for Whisper Transcription for 60 Minutes: 60 minutes * $0.006 / minute = 0.36
That means that in total we will be charged less than 1$ for 60 minutes of conversation.

Currently, we support models from 3 major companies: OpenAI, Anthropic and Groq.
The best one is GPT-4 Turbo (gpt-4-0125-preview) with equal performance from Anthropic (Opus)
The GPT-4 Turbo is cheaper than Opus however Opus has almost the double of context window. The fastest of all is Groq. Depending on your needs and your budget you can select the best model for you.
What has worked fine for almost all cases is choosing gpt-4-0125-preview.

In a natural conversation, people speak about 150-160 Words Per Minute.
That means for 60 minutes we can calculate max 160*60=9600 Words. Which makes about

We did UI improvements to show faster the transcription of the conversations. We have also added a new state-of-the-art model for Speech - Text Transcription from Deepgram.

We permit the selection of one of the system microphones. A testing button can help you decide which one works best for you. What we recommend is either: Use the microphone and speakers of your PC/Mac or if you want to use a headset, select as speakers the PC/Mac speakers so that the headset microphone can catch the conversation.
